On 10th November, 2010, PT. Essar Indonesia has been awarded by a prestigious bronze trophy and a certificate of appreciation by Dr. Bambang Setiadi, Head of (BSN) National Standardization Agency Indonesia, in a SNI (Standard Nasional Indonesia) ceremony organized in Balai Kartini, Jakarta.
This year total 52 companies were short listed and qualified for nomination for SNI award after an extensive audit and assessment done by an independent team from BSN. PT. Essar Indonesia won third place out of 13 companies nominated in Heavy Industry category. The first trophy has gone to PT. Semen Gresik Indonesia and handed over by Vice-President of Republic of Indonesia Dr. Boediono in a ceremony held on 9th November 2010 in presence of all the nominated company’s representatives.
The main criteria for qualifying for SNI award was determined based on overall performance of company including Industry leader, management, brand identity, customer focus, resource development, product quality and services, HSE, systems implementation and business results etc..
